The Dauntless Story
Dauntless was initially formed by the Wasteland Cowboy as a way to gain entry into Wasteland City. Growing tired of endlessly wandering across the scorched earth, he felt it best to set up a permanent base so that he and Lady might start to finally profit and build a future for themselves. In order to establish a permanent camp within the walls of Wasteland City, you have to prove worthy by having strength in numbers and the skills and resources to provide ongoing value to the community. Cowboy and Lady had managed to save up some coin and supplies, as well as their own vehicle, but they lacked allies to join them on this venture. A general call for recruitment went out across the wastes for people with special skills to fill the various roles needed. The first group collected originated from differing parts of the continent but quickly fell into a productive groove. Their first missions together were successful enough that they were they given permission to settle in Wasteland City. As luck would have it they also happened to secure a prime location at the center of the settlement. Almost immediately requests for their services started pouring in and with each successful contract their reputation for ruthless efficiency grew.
Now several years later and, while some of the group has changed, the members of Dauntless eXpress Corp have continued to work together, succeed, and form a bond beyond a simple band of mercenaries. They have become a tribe. A family. For most of them the first they've ever known.
