Featured Gigs
Our interest and unique creations within the post apocalyptic genre have led to many exciting opportunities. We've been involved with dozens of video and photography shoots featuring our costumes, vehicles, and other props. Our creations have been featured in magazines, television, film production, and (of course) various locations on the internet. This page represents some of our favorite gigs that we've lucky enough to take part in. Special thanks to those who recognized our work and invited us to contribute to their projects!
Scorched Earth
In early 2016 a casting call came to our attention for post apocalyptic cars in the NW area that would be interested in participating in a feature film for Lighthouse Productions called Scorched Earth. We ran point on the vehicle search for the production company and, out of all of the responses gathered, only our Daytona was chosen.
It was a nerve wracking experience shipping the Daytona to Canada. Up to that point the car had never been out of our sight, much less let anyone else behind the wheel! Click the button if you'd like to know more about our experience working with Lighthouse during the production of Scorched Earth.
16Volt Music Video
We've been fans of industrial music since the 80's and, in particular, fans of 16Volt since they got their start in our hometown of Portland, OR. When our friend Jesse, of Wasteland Resources, let us know of the opportunity to work with 16Volt on a post apocalyptic themed music video for their new album The Negative Space, we couldn't say YES fast enough!
Shooting for The Electric Pope took place over two weekends and it was a delight working with the cast and crew. Special props to the genius behind the camera, Karl Whinnery, for making us all look so awesome, Jesse Lindsay for the hookup, and of course Eric Powell for letting us come out and play!
Wasteland Legends
When someone asks if you want to drive your post apocalyptic ride across the barren countryside for a weekend with other like minded enthusiasts, you don't say no. It's an offer made even better when the effort is to support the creation of a Mad Max themed fan film.
Faith vs Fate Productions had a vision of creating a short film called Wasteland Legends set in the Mad Max universe using both franchise replica cars and costumes (like the Falcon Interceptor) and custom creations (like our Daytona). The entire film was shot over a long weekend in November where temperature highs were in the 30's. It was a tough schedule, and not everything went to plan, but the cast and crew amazing to work with and it will be a cherished experience long remembered!
Uber at Pax West
Following the release of Fury Road, Mad Max was again a hot topic in pop culture. Warner Brothers had announced a new Mad Max game, set in an altered version of the rebooted universe, and was set to promote the upcoming release at the 2015 Seattle PAX convention in a rather unconventional way.
Partnered with Liquid Advertising and Uber, six custom vehicles and drivers were hired to work the convention and surrounding downtown area as Uber drivers. Each vehicle was adorned with special Mad Max and Uber decorations and let loose. It was a long four days of driving through thick, congested, rainy Seattle traffic but it was worth every second!
